Soft Shell is Petaluma's oasis for relaxation, rejuvenation, healing and an escape from the outside world. Established since 1996, we are well-known for a variety of professional spa services that include deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone, therapeutic, and luxury massage, deep pore cleansing facials, waxing and hair removal, make-up application and tutorials.

Soft Shell was created in 1996 as a small natural-bath and skin care shop that carried a variety of gifts such as incense, candles, creams, salts, soaps, and aromatherapy.

Soft Shell has steadily expanded over the years to become a local spa getaway.

Located only a block from the Petaluma River and part of historic downtown, we are a favorite spot amongst locals and visitors alike.

We are conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants, cafes, theatres, antique stores, and clothing boutiques.

Soft Shell has a total of seven treatment rooms and a large retail space.

Friends and family come here together regularly to receive relaxation and healing services, as well as to browse through our displays of make-up, aromatherapy, essential oils, bath and body products, jewelry, fashion accessories, and other gift items.

We are an award-winning day spa, having received Petaluma Magazine's People's Choice Award 2014.

Our friendly and professionally-trained staff consists of certified massage therapists and practitioners, licensed estheticians, and certified make-up artists. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and are here to provide you with the most comfortable, warm, and welcoming environment possible.
